On October 20, 1981, on this date in history:  The infamous Brink's Robbery of 1981 shook Rockland County, New York. A tragedy that took the lives of Nyack Police Sgt. Edward O'Grady and Officer Waverly Brown along with Brink's security guard Peter Paige, who were all killed in the line of duty during a violent heist carried out be members of a terror organization. 

Today, we remember their bravery and honor their sacrifice. There will be a Memorial Service at the entrance to the NYS Thruway on Mountainview Ave at 4 PM. Expect traffic delays and road closures in the area during this time. We Will Never Forget.
