Orange and Rockland Utilities has announced the start of a gas main replacement project on Depew Avenue, extending from Franklin Street to Route 9W.

Work will begin this week with crews performing test pits along the route. These exploratory excavations are necessary to inspect and camera existing underground utilities, ensuring accurate planning and safe execution of the upcoming work.

Following the completion of this phase, trench work to replace the gas main is scheduled to begin next week.

Residents and motorists should expect temporary disruptions, including limited lane access and minor delays in the work zone. Please use caution when traveling through the area and follow all posted signage.
