Thursday, July 2 – Kickoff Festivities
The celebration begins at 6:00 PM on Main Street with a Classic Car Cruise featuring an impressive lineup of American-made vehicles. Stroll through downtown and experience a showcase of automotive history in the heart of Nyack.
Enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening, including DJ Don’s Radio Show, Andrew Ace Greenspan and the Tam Jam Band starting at 6:00 PM.
At 9:00 PM, settle in for a special outdoor movie night featuring the Disney-Pixar classic "CARS"—perfect for families and movie lovers of all ages. Be sure to bring a chair or blanket! Movie will be shown in Memorial Park!
Local restaurants will be serving outdoors, creating a lively street festival atmosphere filled with great food, music, and community spirit.
Friday, July 3 – Nyack Celebrates Big Time!
Get ready for a full day of patriotic fun and community celebration in the heart of Nyack!
From 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, families are invited to the top field at Memorial Park for the Kids Freedom Zone—a free, fun-filled experience for children of all ages. Enjoy inflatable attractions, games, popcorn, cotton candy, ice pops, and face painting—all completely free!
From 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, head to Veterans-Easter Memorial Square on Main Street for a special civic program featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Witness the unveiling of our 2026 time capsule, to be filled with memorabilia capturing this historic milestone, and celebrate the next generation as we present awards to student winners of the patriotic art and essay contests.
In the evening, the celebration continues with a patriotic performance by the Swingtime Big Band kicking off at 7:00 PM. Grab a bite from local food trucks and restaurants and get ready to enjoy the festive atmosphere. At 9:00PM Mayor Rand presents the Nation Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance led by the our honored Veterans and patriotic musical songs.
Then at 9:15 PM, look to the sky for a spectacular fireworks display launched from a North River Shipyard barge in the Hudson River—an unforgettable highlight of the celebration!
