Park Sponsorship Opportunities
Path Sponsorship Program
The Village of Nyack offers a sponsorship program that allows individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to support the maintenance and enhancement of public parks and open spaces. Sponsorships are voluntary contributions that help fund park improvements while providing a modest, meaningful form of recognition. All sponsored items remain public property and sponsorship does not grant ownership, naming rights, or exclusive use.
Sponsorship Options
Subject to availability and Village approval, sponsorship opportunities include:
- Park benches (6’ or 8’)
- Picnic tables (6’ or 8’)
- Chess tables
- Trees
- Artwork / sculpture
Recognition
Sponsors are acknowledged with a small, standardized plaque:
- Includes name or brief dedication only
- No commercial advertising, logos, political, or religious messages
- All wording, materials, size, and placement must be approved by the Village
Eligibility for Dedications:
- Deceased individuals with a meaningful connection to Nyack
- Local businesses, nonprofits, or civic organizations
Sponsorship Contributions
- One-time, non-refundable contribution
- Amounts are based on the cost of materials and installation
- Payment is required prior to installation or planting
All funds are used at the Village’s discretion for park maintenance, improvements, and related public purposes.
Maintenance & Removal
The Village reserves full authority to:
- Maintain, repair, or relocate items
- Remove items due to safety, damage, redesign, or operational needs
No refunds or replacements will be provided.
Sponsorship Agreement Summary
By participating, the Sponsor agrees that:
- The contribution is voluntary and non-refundable
- No property rights are granted
- The Village has full control over installation, placement, and maintenance
- Plaque wording is subject to approval
- The Village may terminate the agreement if it is no longer in the public interest
The agreement is governed by New York State law.
How to Apply
To sponsor an item:
- Select your preferred item and location (see map & list)
- Submit sponsorship form and payment
- Provide plaque wording for approval
- Installation will be scheduled by the Village
